"I love accounting, but understand why not everyone else does. I consider it part of my job to keep the process as pain-free as possible. I would hate for my clients to compare working with GTN to going to the dentist."
Beth accomplished more before the age of 16 than many people will do in a lifetime. She's been a competitive runner and skater since she was 8 years old and holds numerous national and state track championships, as well as several national short-track speedskating records. Such dedication requires extreme discipline, a trait that has served her well in expat and foreign national tax compliance.
She serves as Global Tax Network's Director, Compliance Services in Denver, CO, where she focuses on developing and overseeing the compliance policies and processes for GTN's global mobility clients. Beth was instrumental in developing the firm's paperless work environment, where everything from training manuals to tax returns is delivered electronically now. She joined GTN after 10 years with Deloitte, most recently in the Midland, MI office, where she was responsible for international assignment services.
Beth can be depended on for:She earned her accountancy degree from Northern Arizona University in 1990, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants.
In her spare time, Beth continues to pursue her need for speed through running, speedskating, and biking. But, she is most committed to the sport of speedskating. She no longer competes, but served as Treasurer of the U.S. Speedskating Association, the governing body for the sport of speedskating, leading up to the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. During those games, she proudly watched her youngest son compete in long-track speed skating. She continues to give back to the sport by coaching young skaters at all levels.
