In December, the Washington Post asked its readers to sum up calendar year 2020 in one word or phrase. They received over 2,000 responses with exhausting, lost, and chaotic rounding out the top three. And though it was all three of these words and more, 2020 was also a year when many of us took time to reexamine what is most important, where we want to spend our time, and how much we can accomplish when we all come together and give back.
Brexit: A Very European Affair or Is It?
In late December, the United Kingdom (UK) and the European Union (EU) finally reached a Brexit agreement. This agreement, called the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA), was approved on December 24, 2020 and is awaiting full ratification.
While 2020 brought new challenges to the forefront for the global mobility industry, the world of cross-border business continued. Even though business travel was greatly reduced, large scale projects were put on hold, and the day-to-day tasks of a mobility manager shifted, there remained a need to stay on top of the ever-evolving rules and regulations of the global mobility landscape.
