As GTN’s Director, Software Development, Mike is responsible for the operational proficiency and coordination of efforts in providing software tools, support, and infrastructure to all business interests of GTN. He possesses a deep knowledge and understanding of the GTN consulting processes and offerings, particularly as they relate to software development, and works in concert with the Senior Leadership Team to clearly define and prioritize the delivery of software solutions and support.

Mike carries a distinct vision of the software development process and works to ensure all stakeholders hold an understanding of it. He aims to continually evolve and improve the integration of efforts between software solutions and all members of GTN as the involvement in software-related offerings continues to grow.

Mike’s essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Creatively transform user and business needs by combining vision and architecture into appropriate, impactful technology solutions
• Manage and modify solutions to stay true to the vision as discoveries and impediments are encountered throughout the lifetime of the product
• Help steer research and discovery efforts of stakeholders towards workable, conceptual solutions

Mike graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems and Organizational Management. Mike is well versed in an extremely diverse set of programming languages and can code proficiently in 25 of them (and counting!).

Outside of the office, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and daughter. Mike is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting and fishing while spending time with his family at their camper. Someday Mike hopes to “reel in the big one” before his son does.
